Coastal longe for all

DemocraSea

Mellow Sea White stamp

Longe côte or "water walking" is a complete physical and therapeutic activity that takes place in waist-deep water (between the navel and the armpits). It has the advantage of allowing you to monitor your progress rapidly. Practised in a group, longe-côte is a gentle way to enjoy the benefits of the water.

What are the benefits of adapted coastal longeering?

Coastal longeering is a gentle, accessible sport that trains the whole body without damaging the joints. Its benefits include...

Strengthening muscles and endurance

Water creates a natural resistance that tones muscles and improves cardiovascular capacity.

Improved balance and coordination

Walking in water helps to strengthen your body's stability.

Calming and stress reduction

Contact with water and the natural environment encourages relaxation and serenity.

Accessibility and inclusion

Suitable for all levels, longe-côte can be practised with special equipment to facilitate mobility if necessary and allows you to share warm moments in a group.

Good to know!

Why is longe-côte suitable for all body types?

Longe-cote is accessible to a wide audience because it offers so many advantages. The fact that the activity is supervised by qualified instructors (via associations and clubs) means that you can choose areas of the course where conditions are optimal and safe. The sessions are adapted to each person's level and ability, and everyone can progress at their own pace in a spirit of conviviality.

When can you go longline?

Longe-côte can be practised all year round, in all seasons. Even if we think that summer is the best time to get in the water, longeurs all agree that they love winter outings: the sea spray strengthens the immune system and, properly equipped with a suitable wetsuit, you can forget about the cold and make the most of sunny days.
