Who are we? — Mellow Sea
Mellow Sea — Our Story

Live the Ocean
otherwise

Born of the ocean, built for those who want to live it fully — whatever the age, background, or season.

From there,
was born
Calm Sea.

Our mission: to enable access to the ocean and its benefits for as many people as possible, regardless of age, background, or time of year. By offering a wetsuit that is practical, comfortable, adaptable, safe, and reassuring.

Have you ever heard that the limits of the land are not those of the sea? The ocean multiplies our possibilities; it allows us to cross thresholds that seem inaccessible. The ocean, which seemed so familiar, has opened up a world of possibilities — a world that saves, reveals, and promises.

A leisure practitioner of the ocean since my youngest years, it was the discovery of longe-côte that was a real turning point. Entering out of curiosity, here I am a medallist at the French championships after only two years of practice.

Julie Landart — Co-founder

A fan of extreme sports, the sea is my element. When an accident put my passions on hold, it was the ocean that offered me its regenerative capabilities — moral and physical.

What us
Guide

~
Respect
Of human — towards our employees, partners, suppliers and customers, we place great importance on how we interact with each of them.

From the environment — because the sea is our playground and we don’t like greenwashing, we’re taking concrete action: an upcycling programme with a local workshop employing 80 people with disabilities, recycling neoprene, paraglider fabric and event tarpaulins. In five years: five tonnes of materials recycled.

Well-being
Access to well-being for all, across the ocean, is our core mission. For every wetsuit purchased by a person with a disability, we offer a free personalisation tailored to their specific needs.

We also pay 10 % of our profits to the Panasea association, which works for mental and physical rehabilitation through surf therapy.

Proximity
We believe the best products are born from the field. Proximity to users – from beginners to competitors to para-athletes – is at the heart of every product development. We listen, we test, we adjust. Not from an office.

Sincerity
Our commitments — inclusion, upcycling, second-hand, disability sport — are not marketing ploys. They are driven by an authentic desire.

We are not perfect and we don't hide it. On the other hand, we work every day to improve ourselves. That's transparency.
